Serbia's Forgotten Paws

In this blog I’d like to introduce Honey’s doggy day care charity ‘Serbia’s Forgotten Paws’, to the people of Wimbledon, Cobham and New Malden. Here we just want to give you a brief outline of how the charity works and how you can help the charity help the dogs of Serbia.

The charity supports two shelters in Serbia, one in Nis and another near Belgrade. Between the shelters there are over 500 dogs that need their forever homes. The charity ensures that the dogs are kept healthy with medicines, food and exercise. They can then we chosen for re-homing, moved from the shelter to family foster homes in Nis where they can learn to live in a loving domestic environment until they are ready for their new family in the UK.

If you are looking for a new dog, Serbia's Forgotten Paws re-homes to the UK over 50 dogs every year. We had a variety of dogs of all shapes, sizes and characters and work hard to match the right dog with the right family.

Even though we re-home rescue dogs throughout the UK, we are particularly looking for local families from Wimbledon, Cobham, New Malden and the surrounding areas - As this is where Honey’s Doggy Day Care is based.

If you are interested in supporting Serbia’s Forgotten Paws, we are always looking for people who can donate either money or their time. We travel to the shelters in Serbia 3-4 times a year and volunteers are always welcome to join us on these trips. We are proud that we achieved official charity status in 2014 and our charity registration number is 1156501.

Thank you for reading this blog- if you are looking to re-home, adopt, foster, donate or support Serbia’s Forgotten Paws in any way please do not hesitate to get in touch.
